Castile, N.Y. – Junior Emma D'Ambro (Schaghticoke, N.Y./Hoosic Valley) placed 13th to lead the Le Moyne College women's cross country team to a third-place finish at the 33rd annual Geneseo Invitational on Saturday at Letchworth State Park. Junior Nicholas Cutter (Housatonic, Mass./Monument Mountain) placed 34th to lead the men's team to a tie for sixth place.

Geneseo won both the men's and women's team competitions with 23 points. Lee Berube of Geneseo won the men's race with a time of 25:59.9, while Houghton's Danielle Brenon crossed the finish line first in the women's race with a time of 22:30.6.

D'Ambro completed the six-kilometer course in 23:58.2 to place 13th among the 123 competitors. Senior Gina Micaroni (Blossvale, N.Y./Canastota) was 14 seconds behind her with a time of 24:12.8 to place 17th. Freshman Taylor Lewis (Belchertown, Mass./Belchertown) was the third Dolphin to cross the finish line with a time of 24:56.0. Junior Erin Hudson (Fulton, N.Y./Fulton) completed the course in 25:26.3 to place 36th, while freshman Laura Hough (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) rounded out Le Moyne's top-five finishers with a 42nd-place finish in 25:38.0.

On the men's side, Cutter turned in a time of 27:37.8 to place 34th among the 160 competitors over the eight-kilometer course. Junior Evan Oustrich (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico) recorded a 48th-place finish in 28:07.7, while sophomore Michael Marrero (Jordan, N.Y./Jordan-Elbridge) gave the Dolphins three finishers in the top-60 with a time of 28:17.9. Sophomore Christian Cobb (Port Byron, N.Y./Port Byron) crossed the finish line in 29:03.7 to place 79th, while junior Patrick Micaroni (Blossvale, N.Y./Canastota) capped Le Moyne's top-five finishers with a 91st-place finish in 29:44.0.

Le Moyne returns to action on Saturday at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State at 12:00 p.m.
