Rindge, N.H. – Freshman
Jeanette Cudney (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) placed 20th to lead the Le Moyne College women's cross country team to an eighth-place finish at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships on Sunday morning at Franklin Pierce University's Gates Farm Course. Freshman
Sean Beney (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) led the men's team to a 12th-place finish.
Stonehill College won its sixth straight conference championship on the women's side and its 13th in the last 15 years with 45 total points after having five of the top 13 runners. Saint Michael's College finished in second place for the second straight year after totaling 64 points. Assumption College placed third with 138 points, while Merrimack College was one spot behind with 150 points. Southern New Hampshire University rounded out the top five with 178 points to edge Adelphi by two points. The Dolphins registered 205 points to place eighth for the second consecutive year. American International's Pascaline Jerotich became the fifth straight Yellow Jacket to win the individual conference championship by registering a time of 24:00.
On the men's side, American International College won its first conference championship with a conference record-tying 19 points after having the top three finishers and five of the top seven runners. Stonehill College, which had won the last three championships, finished in second place with 52 points after five Skyhawks placed in the top 14. The host Ravens tallied 124 points to place third, while Bentley University was fourth with 144 points. Adelphi University recorded 161 points to round out the top five teams. By virtue of its eighth-place finish, Le Moyne claims the women's cross country point in the year-long "Upstate Challenge" between the Dolphins and The College of Saint Rose. The Golden Knights earned the men's point after placing eighth. Through seven of the 16 sports, the Dolphins hold a 4-3 lead over the Golden Knights.
