Canton, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's indoor track team registered 18 points to place fifth at the St. Lawrence Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Newell Field House. The men tallied 15 points to place seventh.
The University of Ottawa won the women's team competition with 207 points, while Brockport State won the men's team competition with 177 points.
On women's side, the Dolphins earned 10 points in the 5000-meter run. Freshman
Jeanette Cudney (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) picked up six points after placing third with a time of 19:47.87, while sophomore
Elena Doctor (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca East) placed fourth with a time of 20:12.84 to record four points.
Freshman
Erin Fayle (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville) registered an eighth-place in the 800-meter run to earn one point with a season-best time of 2:39.37. Freshman
Shania Hayward (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) won her heat and turned in a season-best time of 3:21.76 to place eighth in the 1000-meter run.
In the 800-meter relay, the quartet of
Meg Hubregsen (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima),
Abigail Saville (Pavilion, N.Y./Pavilion),
Meghan Blair (Syracuse, N.Y./Faith Heritage) and
Morel Anderson (Bronx, N.Y./Frederick Douglas) placed sixth with a time of 1:58.06 to record six points. The 1600-meter relay squad placed eighth in a season-best 4:48.85 to pick up one point.
In the shot put, freshman
Bella Sterly (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) placed fifth with a season-best throw of 36-feet, 1.25-inches to register two points, while Hubregsen placed ninth in the long jump with a season-best leap of 14-feet, 11.5-inches.
Freshman
Matthew Civilette (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) led the Le Moyne men by earning nine points on the afternoon. He registered a season-best distance of 42-feet, one half-inch to finish in second place in the triple jump and earn eight points. In the long jump, he posted a season-best leap of 19-feet, nine-inches to place sixth and earn one point. Freshman
Sean Beney (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) earned four points after placing sixth in the one-mile run in a season-best 4:32.59.
Senior
Aaron Fuller (Troy, N.Y./Lansingburgh) won his heat and placed eighth in the 400-meter dash with a season-best time of 54.11 seconds, while freshman
Brody Witaszek (Ghent, N.Y./Chatham) recorded an eighth-place finish in the 800-meter run by crossing the finish line in 2:08.84. Freshman
Joe Fallon (Syracuse, N.Y./Marcellus) placed 10th in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:33.26. In the shot put, freshman
David Slattery (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) placed ninth with a toss of 40-feet, 8.75-inches.

Colin Teeter (Central Square, N.Y./Central Square) recorded one point by placing seventh with a season-best time of 3:52.21 in the 1600-meter relay.
