Cortland, N.Y. – Christopher Zajdel (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) and sophomore Jacey Locci (Stillwater, N.Y./Stillwater) both earned 1^st place finishes today at the Cortland Red Dragon Open.
 
Zajdel set a personal best in both the men's 200m and the 400m events, running times of 21.55 and 48.56 and taking home 1^st place. Locci placed 1^st overall in the women's high jump event, earning a mark of 1.66m/5'5.25".
 
To continue on the men's side, freshman Andrew Shupe (Easton, Pa./Notre Dame Green Pond) placed 6^th overall in the men's 100m, clocking in with a time of 11.15. Junior Christopher Moser (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) placed 10^th overall after running a time of 11.35. Freshman Owen Mulholland (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) placed 9^th overall in the 200m event, running a time of 22.47.
 
Mulholland also competed in the 400m, finishing right behind Zajdel to earn a 2^nd place finish with a time of 50.64. Junior Mike Purvis (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) placed 4^th overall in the 5000m after clocking in with a time of 15:31.29. Sophomore Carson Campbell (Lee Center, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) placed 9^th overall after running a time of 16:17.41.
 
Freshman Andrew Gulde (Clarence Center, N.Y./Clarence) placed 3^rd overall in the 400m hurdle, running a time of 56.57. In the men's long jump, junior Trevon Walker (Clay, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) placed 2^nd overall after earning a mark of 6.60m/21'-8". In the men's triple jump, sophomore Demetrius Wells (Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) placed 4^th overall after earning a mark of 13.45m/44'-2.75". Sophomore Carter DeRosa (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) placed 9^th overall after earning a distance of 12.74m/41'-9.75" to close out the top-10 finishers on the men's side.
 
On the women's side, freshman Alexis Vincent (Wynantskill, N.Y./Averill Park) placed 4^th overall in the 100m after running a time of 12.30. She also competed in the 200m, placing 9^th overall after clocking in with a time of 26.07.
 
In the 800m, freshman Emma Bohall (Schenectady, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) placed 4^th overall after clocking in with a time of 2:23.23. Sophomore Isabella O'Donnell (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) placed 5^th overall in the 1500m, running a time of 4:51.43. In the 100m hurdles, freshman Lyla Dufek (San Marcos, Calif./San Marcos) placed 5^th overall after clocking in with a time of 15.85.
 
Sophomore Jasmin Gonzalez-Rivera (Utica, N.Y./Thomas R. Proctor/Monmouth) placed 3^rd overall in the 400m hurdle after running a time of 1:06.97. Junior Amanda Lowenguth (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) placed 5^th overall, running a time of 1:09.03. Sophomore Lilly Gilles (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) placed 8^th overall after earning a time of 1:10.98.
 
In the high jump, senior Lilly Capria (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) placed 6^th overall after earning a mark of 1.53m/5'-0.25". Alexis Vincent competed in the long jump event, placing 7^th overall after earning a distance of 5.05m/16'-7". Capria also competed in the long jump, placing 9^th overall after earning a mark of 4.96m/16'-3.25".
 
The quartet of Lowenguth, junior Rosalie Vincent (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes), Locci and Alexis Vincent competed in the 4x100m relay, placing 4^th overall after clocking in with a time of 49.82. Lilly Gilles, Gonzalez-Rivera, Bohall and freshman Adelle Robinson (Temperance, Mich./Temperance Bedford competed in the 4x400m relay, placing 3^rd overall after running a time of 4:16.21 to conclude the top-10 finishers on the women's side.
