Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's outdoor track & field teams opened its 2026 campaign at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. Over 1,500 student-athletes from 85 collegiate programs covering 19 states are competing at this year's event.
Opening the invitational on Friday, the Dolphins had three student-athletes from the men's program compete in the hammer throw, long jump, and the 10,000m. Junior
Joseph Doran (Camden, N.Y./Camden) placed 23
rd overall in the hammer throw, setting a personal best with a distance of 43.85m/142'-11". Sophomore
Carter DeRosa (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) placed 8
th overall in the long jump event after earning a mark of 5.93m/19'-5.5". Redshirt junior
Jake Roman (Liverpool, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse/SUNY Morrisville) set a personal best in the 10,000m after running a time of 35:43.30.
Continuing with the men's results, junior
Trevon Walker (Clay, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) placed 19
th overall in the long jump event after earning a distance of 6.41m/21'-0.5". Junior
Mike Purvis (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) and sophomore
Michael Daley (Schenectady, N.Y./Schenectady) competed in the 800m event, placing 10
th and 21
st overall after respectively running times of 2:02.99 and 2:05.87.
On the women's side, the 4x200m quartet of junior
Amanda Lowenguth (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas), junior
Rosalie Vincent (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes), sophomore
Jacey Locci (Stillwater, N.Y./Stillwater) and freshman
Alexis Vincent (Wynantskill, N.Y./Averill Park) earned the best placement on the day for the 'Phins, earning a 5
th place finish after clocking in with a time of 1:44.68.
Rosalie also competed in the 100m prelims, qualifying for the finals tomorrow after setting a personal best with a time of 12.12 and placing 16
th overall. Sophomore
Caitlin Lamphier (Woofhull, N.Y./Jasper-Troupsburg) and freshman
Hailey Parker (Old Forge, N.Y./Town of Webb) competed in the 1 mile run, placing 19
th and 22
nd overall after running times of 6:32.90 and 6:40.83. Freshman
Emily Judd (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) placed 19
th overall in the 800m event, clocking in with a time of 2:43.20 to round out the top-25 finishes of the day for the 'Phins.

Isabella O'Donnell (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) and Parker will compete in the 3000m Steeplechase, with action beginning at 10:00 A.M.
