Box Score Williamston, N.C. – Jim McDade tossed eight scoreless innings to lead Millersville University to a 5-0 win over the Le Moyne College baseball team on Sunday afternoon at Skewarkee Park.
Millersville got on the scoreboard in the second inning with four runs on four hits. Designated hitter A.J. Hammond led off with a single to right field and then moved to second on a wild pitch. After taking third on a groundout, Hammond scored on a groundout by second baseman David Summerfield. After third baseman Tyler McDonald was hit by a pitch and center fielder Dan Neff singled to left field, shortstop Tyler Orris blasted a three-run homer to center field.
Following six scoreless innings, McDonald launched a two-out solo home run to center field in the top of the ninth inning to complete the game's scoring.

Zach Place (Towanda, Pa./Towanda/Susquehanna) took the loss after yielding four runs on nine hits over six innings pitched, while striking out six batters. Freshman left fielder
JT Pittman (Ashland, Mass./Ashland/Bridgton Academy) registered two of Le Moyne's four hits in the game. McDade scattered three hits over his eight scoreless innings, while striking out three batters and walking three. Right fielder Chas McCormick recorded four of Millersville's 13 hits, while Orris, Hammond and Neff each had two hits.
Le Moyne (2-4) is back in action on Saturday for a doubleheader at Dowling College. First pitch of the opener is slated for 12:00 p.m.
