Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's tennis team closed out the home portion of its schedule with a 9-0 setback against Post University on Monday afternoon in non-conference action at the Skytop Tennis Courts.
In doubles action, Martin Munoz and Nicholas Tadros registered an 8-4 win at the first spot over freshman
Hallam Doney (Andover, Hampshire/Peter Symonds) and sophomore
Steven Procopio (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt). At the second spot, Peter Fanous and David Narovec recorded an 8-3 victory over sophomore
Benjamin Spoor (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) and redshirt junior
Stephane Legris (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury/Adirondack C.C.). The Eagles won by default at the third spot.
At first singles, Munoz was a 6-2, 6-1 win over Doney, who was making his debut at the position. Tadros was a 6-4, 6-4 winner over Spoor at the second spot, while Fanous tallied consecutive scores of 6-2 to defeat Legris at the third spot. In the closest match of the day, Alejandro Perez rallied for a 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-8) win over Procopio at fourth singles. At the fifth spot, Narovec topped sophomore
Adam Celata (Hamilton, Mass./Hamilton-Wenham Regional) 6-0, 6-1. The Eagles won by default at the sixth spot.
Le Moyne (7-8) returns to Northeast-10 Conference action on Friday at Bentley University at 3:30 p.m.
