Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's tennis team picked up its second win of the season with a 9-0 victory over American International College on Wednesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at the Skytop Tennis Courts.
In doubles action, junior
Amica Benoit-Limosani (Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec/Collège Saint-Maurice) and sophomore
Tiffany Dun (Templestowe, Victoria/Doncaster Secondary College) were victorious at the top spot, 8-6, over Carleyah McLean and Eleanna Fulop. At the second position, freshmen
Kim Driesen (Fayetteville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) and
Cameron Aiello (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) registered an 8-0 win over Logan Smith and Alice Calabrese. Freshman
Mackenzie Aiello (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) and sophomore
Olivia Kodsy (Clinton, N.Y./Clinton) won by default at the third spot.
In singles action, junior
Rithika Vajjiravelu (Chennai, Tamil Nadu/Kendriya Vidyalaya) recorded a 6-2, 6-2 win at the first position over McLean, while Benoit-Limosani was a 6-4, 6-0 winner over Fulop at the second spot. At third singles, senior
Christina Perry (Endwell, N.Y./Seton Catholic) defeated Smith, 6-1, 6-0, while Driesen was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at the fourth spot over Calabrese.
Mackenzie Aiello and Kodsy won by default at fifth and sixth singles, respectively.
Le Moyne (2-3, 2-3 NE-10), which snapped a three-match losing streak, is back on the courts on Thursday against Hamilton College at 4:00 p.m.
