Ithaca, N.Y. – Freshman
Chris Davitt (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) and sophomore
Brittney Mack (Poestenkill, N.Y./Averill Park) each recorded a pair of program records on Saturday afternoon to lead the Le Moyne College men's and women's track teams at the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational.
Davitt registered his best finish of the day by placing third in the 1000-meter run with a program record and Northeast-10 Conference Championships-qualifying time of 2:37.70. He broke his own program record of 2:39.44, which he set at the Saints Indoor Invitational on January 14. Earlier in the meet, he placed fourth in the one-mile run in a program record and NE10-qualifying time of 4:24.94. He turned in the previous record of 4:27.69 at Hamilton College two weeks ago.
Junior
Sean Beney (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) recorded the team's best finish of the afternoon by winning the 5000-meter run by over 19 seconds with a program record and NE10-qualifying time of 15:19.42. He topped his previous record time of 15:32.14 by almost 13 seconds.
Sophomore
Griffin Klein (Fair Haven, N.Y./Red Creek) finished in eighth place in the 5000-meter run with an NE10-qualifying time of 16:14.15.
Freshman
Jacob Davis (Feura Bush, N.Y./Bethlehem) recorded a season-best and NE10-qualifying toss of 44-feet, 0.75-inches to place 17th in the weight throw, while junior
Matthew Civilette (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) placed 13th in the triple jump with a distance of 41-feet, 1.5-inches.
Mack placed fourth in the 1000-meter run in a program record and NE10-qualifying time of 3:07.92. She set the previous record of 3:08.43 at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships last year. Prior to that, she placed sixth in the one-mile run by posting a program record and NE10-qualifying time of 5:19.25. She established the previous record of 5:27.90 last week at Utica College.
Sophomore
Rachael Miller (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) registered a program record and NE10-qualifying time of 2:26.48 in the 800-meter run. Mack set the previous record of 2:27.35 at Hamilton's Continental Invitational two weeks ago.
Sophomore
Val Pirro (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) established a new program record in the triple jump with a leap of 30-feet, 4.25-inches. She posted the previous record of 29-feet, 10.75-inches at Hamilton two weeks ago.
The Dolphins had a pair of runners turn in top-seven and NE10-qualifying performances in the 5000-meter run. Freshman
Siara Clos (Syracuse, N.Y./Onondaga) placed second with a time of 19:23.60, while junior
Jeanette Cudney (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) finished seventh in 20:00.65.
Sophomore
Bethia Nivens (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) registered an eighth-place finish in the 400-meter dash with an NE10-qualifying time of 1:02.09.
Freshman
Jordan Sloan (Central Square, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) placed 14th in the 400-meter dash with an NE10-qualifying time of 1:02.95.
The Dolphins conclude the regular season on Saturday at Colgate University's Class of '32 Invitational at 11:00 a.m.
