WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD PLACES FOURTH AT COLGATE, MEN SIXTH

Hamilton, N.Y. – Two members of the Le Moyne College women's indoor track and field team recorded victories to lead the Dolphins to a fourth-place finish on Saturday at Colgate University's Class of 1932 Invitational at the Sanford Field House. The men's team finished in sixth place after having one individual winner.
 
Sophomore Eva Keohane (Brewerton, N.Y./Central Square) won the 3,000-meter run by five and one-half seconds with a program-record time of 10:36.85.

Junior Jordan Sloan (Central Square, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) registered a victory in the 400-meter dash by over one second with a time of 1:00.75.

Freshman Awnshae Smith (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) had a pair of top-five finishes on the day. She registered a program-record distance of 33-feet, 0.50-inches in the triple jump to place fourth. She finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles in 10.56 seconds.

Sophomore Caroline St. Antoine (Longueuil, Québec/Cégep Édouard-Montpetit) placed fourth in the one-mile run in 5:31.44.

The Dolphins had three scorers in the 1,000-meter run. Sophomore Haleigh Pascual (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) placed third in 3:14.93, freshman Samantha Pellegrini (Loudonville, N.Y./Colonie) was fifth in 3:21.17 and classmate Brianna Walker (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) finished in 3:31.58 to place eighth.

Junior Mya Walters (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) recorded a fifth-place finish in the 3,000-meter run in 11:13.40.

Sophomore Mollie Engle (Roscoe, N.Y./Roscoe) cleared the bar at 4-feet, 7-inches in the high jump to tie for fifth place.

The quartet of Keohane, Pascual, Walters and Engle placed sixth in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:49.56.

On the men's side, junior Chris Davitt (Delmar, N.Y./Shenendehowa) won the 3,000-meter run by over 19.5 seconds by crossing the finish line in 8:46.32.
 
In the 400-meter dash, the Dolphins had a pair of scorers. Sophomore Jordan Devereaux (Syracuse, N.Y./Solvay) placed fourth in 52.98 seconds and senior Nicholas Kattato (Cold Brook, N.Y./Poland) finished sixth in 53.33 seconds.

Freshman Paul Stannard (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) recorded a sixth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.59.

Freshman William Bilow (Chasm Falls, N.Y./Franklin) recorded a pair of top-six finishes in jumping events. He registered a distance of 40-feet to finish fourth in the triple jump. He placed sixth in the high jump by clearing the bar at 5-feet, 10.75-inches.

Freshmen Trevor Kline (Verona, N.Y./Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) and Ben Zinger (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) joined Davitt in scoring in the 3,000-meter run by placing seventh and ninth, respectively, with times of 9:48.52 and 9:56.70.

The 4x400-meter relay team of freshmen Jacob Schmid (Ontario, N.Y./Wayne) and Kenny Barrett (Lagrangeville, N.Y./Lady of Lourdes) and Stannard and Devereaux placed second in 3:33.31.

The Dolphins return to action on Saturday and Sunday at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships at the Smith College Indoor Track and Tennis Facility in Northampton, Massachusetts.
