West Long Branch, N.J. – A member of both the Le Moyne College women's and men's track and field team recorded program records to lead the Dolphins at the Monmouth University Season Opener on Saturday.
Freshman
Awnshae Smith (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) set program records in all three events she competed in on the day. In the 100-meter hurdles, she finished 11th with a time of 17.87 second. In the high jump, she cleared the bar at 4-feet, 7.75-inches. Smith registered a distance of 32-feet, 5.75-inches in the triple jump to place 14th.
Senior
Brittney Mack (Poestenkill, N.Y./Averill Park) finished eighth in the 800-meter with a time of 2:21.34.
Junior
Mya Walters (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) recorded a fifth place finish in the 10,000- meter event coming in at 41:58.66.
Le Moyne's entry in the 4x800-meter relay took fifth with a team of freshmen
Samantha Pellegrini (Loudonville, N.Y./Colonie),
Brianna Walker (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) and
Julia Eichenlaub (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison), and junior
Jill Stagnitta (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) completing the race in 11:08.41.

Bethia Nivens (Latham, N.Y./Shaker), sophomore
Haleigh Pascual (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) and Smith completed the race in 4:09.80 to place fifth.
On the men's side, freshman high jumper
William Bilow (Chasm Falls, N.Y./Franklin) set a program recorded when he cleared 5-feet, 8.5-inches.
Senior
Griffin Klein (Fair Haven, N.Y./Red Creek) finished ninth in the 800-meter crossing the finish line at 2:00.32.
The Dolphins had two top-ten finishers in the 3000-meter steeplechase as freshman
Max Rohrbacher (New York, N.Y./Xavier) finished seventh with a time of 10:57.18 while junior
Connor Price (Menands, N.Y./Shaker) followed in tenth at 11:40.85.
Junior
Chris Davitt (Delmar, N.Y./Shenendehowa) was seventh in the 5,000-meter at 15:30.65, while sophomore
Brandon Brusehaber (Orchard Park, N.Y/Orchard Park) was fifth in the 10,000-meter with a time of 36:35.83.
