Brockport N.Y. - Junior Jordan Devereaux and sophomore
Samantha Pellegrini recorded second-place finishes to lead the Le Moyne College Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field teams at the Brockport Golden Eagles Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Devereaux placed second overall in the Men's 600 meter race with a season-best time of 1:29.18.
Anthony Pauli finished ninth overall with a time of 54.85 in the 400 meter race.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the Dolphins raced two teams coming in seventh and eight place overall. Devereaux, Pauli,
Paul Stannard and
Kyle VanCoughnett finished with a time of 3:48.33 while the team of
Ben Zinger,
Trevor Kline,
Matthew Sinnenberg and
Brandon Brusehaber finished with a time of 4:09.65.
Sophomore duo Stannard and VanCoughnett raced in the 800 meter race and finished with times of 2:14.96 and 2:16.60 respectively
All four Dolphins that raced in the mile had season-high times. Freshman Matthew Sinnenberg finished with a time of 4:51.02, Sophomore
Max Rohrbacher finished with a time of 5:04.08, Sophomore
Ben Zinger finished with a time of 5:05.08, and Sophomore
Trevor Kline finished with a time of 5:26.32.
Freshman Nolan Hillhouse collected a pair of season-records with a 41' 2.25" triple jump and a 19' 2.75" long jump.
Freshman shotputters Taylor Elie and
Alex Sandway recorded a 9.13 meter and 8.29 meter throws respectively.
Pellegrini finished second overall in the 3,000 meter race with a time of 11:40.12.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Catherine Durant,
Samantha Pellegrini,
Julianna Szczech and
Amanda Winn finished third overall with a time of 4:42.68.
Dolphins duo of junior Haleigh Pascual and freshman
Amanda Winn raced in mile and finished with times of 5:56.47 and 6:06.43 respectively.
Freshman Durant also placed eleventh overall in the 400 meter race with a time of 1:08.81.
Olivia Snell, freshman and
Rebecca White, freshman placed eleventh and twelfth respectively in the 800 meter race.
Junior Mollie Engle finished ninth overall in the high jump. While freshman Szczech placed sixth in the pole vault.
Lennah Abraham, also a freshman, finished eleventh in the weighted throw with a record of 11.79 meters.
The Dolphins also competed in the Cornell Upstate Challenge. Only the Division I institutions participating in the meet were scored.
Freshman Nicholas Hafner placed 11th in the heptathlon with 3947 points.
Duo of sophomore Kenny Barrett and freshman
Christian Carlin-Saracene raced and placed in the 800 meter race. Barrett placed eighth with a time of 2:04.35 and Carlin-Saracene finished with a time of 2:33.47.
Also racing for the Dolphins was freshman Benjamin Dertinger in the mile where he placed eleventh with a time of 4:28.62.
Senior Mya Walters finished eighth overall in the 3000m with a time of 11:28.45.
Shaina Smith, a freshman, finished tenth overall in the 60m with a time of 10.25.
Also representing the women's track team was Freshman duo Chloe Hanson and
Cleo Baker in the 800 meter with times of 2:26.24 and 2:33.47 respectively.
