MEN’S AND WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD COMPETES AT GOLDEN EAGLE MULTI & INVITATIONAL

Brockport, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at The College at Brockport's Golden Eagle Multi & Invitational on Saturday.
 
Brockport won the men's team competition with 143 points. SUNY Geneseo was just 4.5 points behind in second place. RIT placed third with 89 points. The Dolphins tallied 11 points on the day.

Freshman Nicholas Hafner (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) broke his own program record in the heptathlon with a score of 4,022 points to place seventh. He also had personal bests in the shot put (32-feet, 3.75-inches), 60-meter run (7.61 seconds), high jump (5-feet, 10-inches) and the pole vault (program record-tying 8-feet, 10.25-inches). He also placed eighth in the 60-meter hurdles after advancing to the finals with a program-best time of 8.99 seconds.

Junior Jordan Devereaux (Syracuse, N.Y./Solvay) tallied a ninth-place finish in the 200-meter dash in 23.63 seconds.

Freshman Matthew Sinnenberg (Burnt Hills, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) recorded a season-best time of 16:21.18 to place ninth in the 5000-meter run.

Sophomore William Bilow (Chasm Falls, N.Y./Franklin) placed ninth in the high jump by clearing the bar at 5-feet, 9.25-inches.
 
Sophomore Kenny Barrett (Lagrangeville, N.Y./Lady of Lourdes) placed 10th in the 800-meter run in 2:02.74, while freshman Christian Carlin-Saracene (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) was 12th in 2:04.68.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Devereaux, Barrett, Carlin-Saracene and sophomore Paul Stannard (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) finished second with a season-best time of 3:34.36.
 
On the women's side, Brockport placed first in the team competition with 182 points. SUNY Geneseo finished second with 147 points and the University of Rochester was third with 87 points. The Dolphins collected 14 points on the afternoon.

Freshman Chloe Hanson (Saugerties, N.Y./Saugerties) came in third overall with a time of 2:27.52 in the 800-meter run.

Freshman Shaina Smith (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) earned three points with a sixth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.16 seconds.

Freshman Cleo Baker (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) placed 12th in the 800-meter run in 2:31.52.

The relay team of freshmen Catherine Durant (Arverne, N.Y./Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School), Hanson, Smith and Baker placed fifth with a time of 4:24.24 in the 4x400-meter relay.

The Dolphins return to the track on Friday at RIT's Midseason Meet at the Gordon Field House in Rochester at 4:00 p.m.
