Murfreesboro, Tenn. - The Le Moyne College women's golf team traveled to the greater Nashville area for the Music City Invitational, hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University. The two-day tournament is being held at Old Fort Golf Club and is being played as a par 72 from 5972 yards.
Christian Brothers University is leading the team competition with a combined score of 300 and a one shot advantage over Northwood University and the University of Southern Indiana. The Dolphins sit in 14th after a combined round of 342, their third-best round of the season. Franklin Pierce's Kesinee Prukmathakul is leading the individual competition after a six under round of 66, which featured six birdies.Â
Freshman Mia Avotins (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) is once again leading the Dolphins. Her first round score of 78 featured two birdies and places her in a tie for 29th. Those birdies came on holes six and seven and led to an even par 36 on the front nine. Freshman
Nataly Avotins (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) finished in a tie for 52nd after a round of 81. Her nine-over round was highlighted by an eagle on the 14th hole.
Senior Meghan McKeen (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) shot an 83 after a 40 on the front nine and a 43 on the back nine. Her round was highlighted by a birdie on the sixth hole, as she currently sits in a tie for 64th.
Other Dolphins scores include a 100 by junior Madeline Ferris (Fayetteville, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt) and 101 by junior
Mikaela Riley (Camillius, N.Y./West Genesee). Ferris shot a 53 on the front and finished with a 47 on the back and is currently in 92nd. Riley shot a 51 on the front and 50 on the back and is currently in 93rd.Â
