Cortland, N.Y. – Sophomore
Nicholas Hafner (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) became the first Dolphin to ever compete in the decathlon to lead the Le Moyne College men's track and field team at the SUNY Cortland Classic on Sunday.
Hafner registered 5032 points to place fifth in the decathlon. His highest scoring performance in the event came in the high jump, where he earned 687 points for clearing the bar at 6-feet, 1.5-inches.
Freshman
Matthew Bartolotta (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) placed second in the 800-meter run in 2:02.41.
Junior
Max Rohrbacher (New York, N.Y./Xavier) registered a third-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:14.25.
Sophomore
Nolan Hillhouse (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon) tallied a third-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 40-feet, 11-inches.
Junior
David Ware (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse/St. John Fisher) placed fifth in the 800-meter run in 2:05.43.
Freshman
Nick Berg (Minoa, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) recorded a fifth-place finish in the 1,500-meter run in 4:18.48.
The team of junior
Paul Stannard (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee), sophomore
Christian Carlin-Saracene (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse), Ware and Bartolotta finish second in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:44.47.
The Dolphins return to action at SUNY Delhi on Friday.
