Mansfield, Mass. – Le Moyne College freshman Thais Forbes (Atlanta, Ga./Coral Gables (Fla.)) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference women's golf Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Forbes, honored by the conference for the first time in her career, finished in 11th place at the Kutztown Fall Invitational on Sunday and Monday at the par-70, 5660-yard Moselem Springs Golf Club. She finished the 36 holes with a score of 175 after posting an 86 in the first round and an 89 in the second round as the Dolphins finished in fourth place as a team.

Through seven rounds in her first season, she has a scoring average of 84.6 and has finished in the top-12 in each of her last two events.

The Dolphins are back in action on Friday and Saturday at The College of Saint Rose Fall Invitational at Pinehaven Country Club in Guilderland, N.Y.
