MEN’S AND WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD TEAMS OPEN SEASON AT JIM TAYLOR INVITATIONAL

Selinsgrove, Pa. – Sophomore Madison Kozyra (Marcy, N.Y./Whitesboro) won the discus throw to lead the Le Moyne College women's outdoor track and field team at the Jim Taylor Invitational hosted by Susquehanna University at Doug Arthur Stadium. Senior William Bilow (Chasm Falls, N.Y./Franklin) recorded a third-place finish to lead the men's team.

Kozyra won the discus throw with a program-record distance of 133-feet, 5-inches to win by over three and one-half feet. She set the previous record of 131-feet, 3-inches at Cortland on May 2, 2021. She recorded a toss of 35-feet, 2.5-inches to place 11th in the shot put. She finished 14th in the hammer throw with a mark of 125-feet, 6-inches.
 
Freshman Natalie Lavello (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Arlington) placed 20th in the 400-meter dash in 1:05.76.

Senior Samantha Pellegrini (Loudonville, N.Y./Colonie) finished 20th in the 5000-meter run in 19:40.12.

The quartet of junior Cleo Baker (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post), redshirt junior Mallory DiFelice (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder), Lavello and junior Catherine Durant (Arverne, N.Y./Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School) placed seventh in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:21.41.

On the men's side, Bilow placed third in the high jump by clearing the bar at a modern program-record height of 6-feet, 2.75-inches. He finished 18th in the triple jump with a mark of 39-feet, 3.25-inches.

Junior Nolan Hillhouse (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon) registered a distance of 41-feet, 1.75-inches to finish 10th in the triple jump. He tallied a leap of 19-feet, 1.5-inches to place 13th in the long jump.

Junior Nicholas Hafner (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) placed 14th in the high jump with a height of 5-feet, 10.75-inches. He recorded an 18th-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.98 seconds.
 
Junior Christian Carlin-Saracene (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) placed 17th in the 800-meter run in 2:01.14.

Freshman Brandon Scott (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) finished 18th in the 400-meter dash in 53.93 seconds. He placed 25th in the 200-meter dash in 23.94 seconds.
 
Freshman Jack Gibson (Ilion, N.Y./Central Valley Academy) placed 23rd in the 10000-meter run in 35:49.74.

The team of Scott, Carlin-Saracene, freshman Dominic Abbott (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) and senior Kenny Barrett (Lagrangeville, N.Y./Lady of Lourdes) placed third in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:32.47.

The Dolphins return to action at the Hamilton Invitational on Saturday at Pritchard Track at 10:30 a.m.
