Worcester, Mass. – The Le Moyne College men's swimming and diving team finished in third place at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships Thursday through Sunday at the WPI Sports & Recreation Center on the campus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The women's team finished in fourth place.
Southern Connecticut State swept the team championships. The women won their third straight championship and 15th overall, while the men won their second consecutive and 15th overall. The SCSU men scored 710 points to hold on to first place. Bentley placed second with 576 points and the Dolphins followed in third with 350 points.
On the women's side, the Owls scored 1050.5 points to land first. Bentley University topped Assumption University for second, 796-605.5. The Dolphins finished fourth with 438 points.
Sophomore
Dominic Fratto (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo), senior

Logan Bronecki (Hemlock, N.Y./Livonia) and sophomore
Belal Aly (Syracuse, N.Y./PSAL at Fowler) led the men's team by teaming to finish in the top four of four relays to earn 110 points. The earned the silver medal in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a season-best time of 1:23.75 in Friday's first relay. They then finished fourth in the 400-yard medley relay in a season-best 3:27.76 to close out Friday's competition. They finished out Saturday night's action by placing fourth in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:34.61. The claimed the bronze medal in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:07.79 to wrap up the championship.

Sean McCleary (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) registered a fifth-place finish in the championship-opening 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 7:18.44.
Morris registered a trio of top-five finishes to lead the Dolphins in scoring individually with 32 points. He recorded a fifth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle in 21.17 seconds on Friday. He tallied a fourth-place finish on Saturday in the 100-yard breaststroke by touching the wall in 57.23 seconds. He closed out the weekend with another fourth-place finish with a time of 46.48 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle.
Aly recorded three top-six finishes over the weekend for 31 individual points. He earned the bronze medal in the 100-yard butterfly on Saturday night with a time of 50.97 seconds. One event later, he placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:44.43. He capped his weekend with a time of 47.15 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle to place sixth.
McMahon finished in the top-seven in all three individual events for 30 points. He earned the silver medal in the 1000-yard freestyle by registering a season-best time of 9:48.99. He then placed seventh in the 500-yard freestyle in 4:48.13 on Friday night. On Sunday, he placed fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:12.57.
Sophomore
Justin Byrne (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) earned medals in both diving events. He registered 382.45 points to earn the silver medal in the one-meter diving event on Friday night. He earned the bronze medal in the three-meter diving event on Sunday with 404.30 points.
Fratto earned 22 points over his three individual events. He picked up one point in the 50-yard freestyle by placing 12th in 21.72 seconds. He registered 11 points by placing fourth in the 100-yard backstroke on Saturday in 52.96 seconds. He capped his performance by finishing fifth in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:58.27.
Silaika finished seventh in the 200-yard IM in 1:57.78. He captured the bronze medal in the 400-yard IM on Saturday with a time of 4:14.55.
Badalato placed seventh in the 1000-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 10:09.76. He added an 11th-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly on Saturday with a time of 53.48 seconds. He posted another seventh-place finish on Sunday in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:02.60.
Senior
Joseph Malone (Merrick, N.Y./Wellington C. Mepham/SUNY Old Westbury) recorded a time of 2:16.75 to place 12th in the 200-yard butterfly. He then placed ninth in the 1650-yard freestyle in 17:39.37 in the final individual event of the championship.
Bronecki earned two points in the 100-yard freestyle on Sunday with a time of 48.04 seconds to place fifth.
McCleary picked up one point in the 200-yard freestyle by placing 12th in 1:52.03.

MaryLauren Burke (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) registered a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle in a program-record time of 1:38.01, which eclipsed the previous record of 1:38.26 set Alyssa Baker, Kelsey Smith, Sarah Gaffney and Tara O'Donnell at the 2016 NE10 Championship. The quartet closed out the championship by placing fourth in the 400-yard freestyle in 3:37.42.
Kikukawa, Zapisek, sophomore
Ella Kaback (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) and freshman
Brooke Sommo (Guilderland, N.Y./Guilderland) recorded a time of 4:04.15 to place fourth in the 400-yard medley relay to close out Friday night.
The team of Kikukawa, Kaback, Longway and Buchholz closed out Saturday night's competition by placing fourth in the 200-yard medley relay in a season-best 1:48.66.
Buchholz registered a trio of seventh-place finishes to lead the Dolphins individually with 36 points. She tallied her first seventh-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle to open Friday night's competition with a time of 5:12.35. She earned another seventh-place finish on Saturday with a time of 1:56.07 in the 200-yard freestyle. She capped her weekend with a third seventh-place finish on Sunday with a time of 54.01 seconds.
Longway collected 30 points over her three events. She earned the bronze medal in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.53 seconds. She placed 12th in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.01 on Saturday. She touched the wall in the 100-yard freestyle on Sunday in 53.96 seconds to place ninth.
Sophomore
Brenna Horan (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point/SUNY Geneseo) earned 27 points by scoring in three events. She finished 13th in the 200-yard IM in 2:17.99 on Friday night. She then placed eighth in the 400-yard IM on Saturday with a time of 4:54.38. She closed out the championship by placing seventh in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:14.96.
Sommo garnered 26 points with three top-10 finishes. She recorded a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard IM in 2:16.50. She then placed 10th in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.16. She registered another 10th-place finish on Sunday with a time of 2:12.38 in the 200-yard backstroke.
Freshman
Riley Brennen (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford) placed seventh in the three-meter diving event with 279.90 points. On Saturday, she placed eighth in the one-meter diving event with 296.95 points.
Kikukawa recorded a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke on Saturday with a time of 59.90 seconds. She placed 13th on Sunday in the 100-yard freestyle in 55.33 seconds.
Zapisek was one of just five Dolphins to score individually in three events. She placed 11th in the 500-yard freestyle by touching the wall in 5:17.93. She recorded a 13th-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle on Saturday in 1:59.17. She tallied a 10th-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:20.85 to close out the weekend.
Freshman
Quinn Edholm (Buffalo, N.Y./Sweet Home) finished 11th in the 1000-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 11:36.61. She registered an eighth-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle in 19:32.99.
Burke posted a time of 25.44 seconds to place 14th in the 50-yard freestyle. On Saturday, she registered a time of 1:00.39 to place sixth in the 100-yard backstroke.
Kaback posted a ninth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:09.05 on Saturday night. She added 13th-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke on Sunday in 2:39.73.
Kellogg registered a 10th-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:30.87.
Redshirt sophomore
Logan Fetterman (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) placed 16th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a mark of 1:16.95. She placed 15th in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:48.23.
Freshman
Emma Winters (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) recorded a time of 5:41.81 to place 15th in the 500-yard freestyle.
Redshirt sophomore
Taylor McFadden (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) picked up two points by placing 15th in the 400-yard IM with a time of 5:24.81.
Senior
Mikayla Bonner (Gardiner, N.Y./Wallkill) registered a time of 5:26.55 to place 16th in the 400-yard IM.
The Dolphins are back in the pool as a team at the ECAC Championships, which will be held Friday, February 24 through Sunday the 26th at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
