Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's basketball team (21-5, 16-4 NE10) will begin their postseason journey on Sunday afternoon, as they host the Pace University Setters (13-5, 9-11 NE10) at 1:00 p.m. on Ted Grant Court for a Northeast-10 Conference Championships Quarterfinal matchup.
Le Moyne, the no. 1 seed in the conference tournament, received a bye in the first round, while the no. 8-seeded Setters defeated the no. 9 seed Saint Anselm Hawks by a score of 60-48 on Friday to advance to the quarterfinals.
Le Moyne and Pace split their two regular season battles this year. Pace claimed a 58-54 win over the Dolphins in Syracuse on January 7, but the 'Phins avenged the loss later in the season, recording a 53-43 win against the Setters in Pleasantville on January 24.
The Dolphins closed the regular season on an 11-game conference winning streak, and have won 16 of their last 17 contests.
Le Moyne's zone defense has steadily improved throughout the season. Through 26 games in 2022-23, Le Moyne's opponents are averaging 55.7 points per game, which is the 15
th best opponent scoring average in all of Division II. The Dolphins are averaging a league-best 10.0 steals per game against NE10 competition.
The 'Phins are currently scoring 66.6 points per game, which is the highest team scoring average in the NE10.

Kaia Goode (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) are each scoring over 10.0 points per game for Le Moyne, while freshman guard
Sierra Linnin (Valley Cottage, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) has been one of the most dangerous three-point shooters in the conference this season.
Linnin is second in the conference in made threes per game (2.3) while also being top 10 in three-point shooting percentage (38.1%).
The 5'8" lefty from Valley Cottage previously set the Le Moyne women's basketball single-game record for most threes by a freshman when she knocked down six triples at Southern Connecticut State on January 18. Linnin has also set the program record for most threes made by a freshman in a single season, tallying 61 three pointers so far in 2022-23. McKayla Roberts previously held the record with 51 triples during her rookie campaign in 2016-17, but Linnin surpassed that total during Le Moyne's 24
th game this year.
Linnin's current total of 61 threes is the ninth highest single season total in program history.
Baker's 14 double-doubles so far this season is tied for 12
th most in the entire country and is the most double-doubles accumulated in a single season by any Le Moyne women's basketball player in the last 30+ years.
Baker is currently averaging a team-best 12.8 points per game, and a team-high 10.6 rebounds per game. Roberts is contributing 12.3 points per game, and she is fifth among NE10 players with 7.8 rebounds per game.
Lusher and Goode are both contributing at least 3.0 assists per game, and Baker is close behind with 2.9 helpers per contest.
Baker, Lusher and Goode are averaging a combined six steals per game. Goode is averaging the second-most steals in the NE10 with 2.2 per contest.
Lusher and Goode are the only two rookies in the Northeast-10 Conference averaging over 10.0 points in at least 20 games played this season.
Sophomore forward Tower Lorde led Pace in scoring with 13 points during their first-round win over Saint Anselm. She also added seven rebounds, four steals and a block. Junior guard Mansaray Katumina and sophomore forward Arianna Stockinger both added 12 points during the postseason victory.
Graduate guard Lauren Hackett leads the Setters in scoring this season with 9.8 points per game.
The last time Pace and Le Moyne met in the postseason was in the first round of the 2005 NE10 Championships, and the Setters came away with a 68-48 win.
