Syracuse, NY – This is a truly historic year for Le Moyne's athletics program as it transitions to Division I. As part of the festivities, many promotions are planned throughout the 2023-24 academic year to commemorate the momentous occasion.

The first of those promotions will begin this weekend when the Dolphins' women's soccer team hosts Rhode Island in its home opener. It will mark the first Division I home soccer game in Le Moyne history.

To commemorate the move to Division I, the athletic department has designed a commemorative "Division I Debut" t-shirt. These limited-run t-shirts will be tossed into the stands at various times throughout the game.

Le Moyne's "Division I Debut" t-shirts will be distributed in a similar manner during each of the Dolphin teams' home openers throughout the 2023-24 academic year.

In addition to Sunday's t-shirt giveaway, Rick's Polar Pops ice cream will be on site to offer refreshments, Syracuse United youth team will perform at halftime, in-game contests will be held and Le Moyne players will be available to sign autographs following the contest.

Kickoff for Sunday's historic matchup against URI is set for 1 pm. The online stream of the match will be available on 'PhinsTV via NEC Front Row.
