Syracuse, N.Y. – A dunk from graduate student
Luke Sutherland (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee/Siena/Bryant) after the inbounds pass from freshman guard
AJ Dancler (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) has been named the Le Moyne Play of the Week, presented by McNeil & Co.
Following a timeout under the midway point of the first half, Le Moyne was inbounding the ball underneath the basket of Sacred Heart. Dancler inbounded the ball to Sutherland, who quickly surveyed his options, splitting the defense and driving to the rim, throwing down an emphatic jam.
Sutherland, who finished the game with a game-high 26 points in 27 minutes, finished the first half with 14 points, alongside teammate
Kaiyem Cleary (Manchester, England Redemption Christian Academy (NY) Florida Southern/Florida Southwestern/Ball State) who also finished with 14. Dancler recorded 8 points shooting an efficient 5-6 from the free throw line.
The Dolphins will continue their road stretch as they head down to take on the Skyhawks of Stonehill College on Thursday, and take a trip north to take on the Warriors of Merrimack College on Saturday (ESPN+).
