Syracuse, N.Y. – A walk-off single from junior Alyssa Dybacz (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / Charles W. Baker) in game one of Softball's matchup against Wagner has been named the Le Moyne Play of the Week, presented by McNeil & Co.



The Dolphins trailed the Seahawks of Wagner College 3-0 heading into the bottom of the 6th inning. After sophomore designated player Audrey Benderski (Spring Lake Park, Minn. / Spring Lake Park) earned a walk, freshman Kara Bacon (Warrensburg, N.Y. / Warrensburg) replaced her to pinch run, scoring after freshman Sydney Nesci (Cicero, N.Y. / Cicero-North Syracuse) doubled to right field.

Le Moyne held Wagner scoreless in the top of the 7th inning while adding two runs from junior Dominique Rinaldi (Sayville, N.Y. / Sayville) and Dybacz, sending the game into extra innings.

The Dolphins and Eagles continued to battle until the bottom of the 13th inning. With the International Tie Breaker rule in effect, Le Moyne started with freshman Shannon Gavigan (Havertown, Pa. / Haverford) on second base. With a full count, Dybacz hit a line drive to center field just over the glove of the Wagner outfielder, bringing Gavigan home to give the Dolphins a 6-5 win.

The Dolphins are back in action as they are set to take on Syracuse University Wednesday at 2:00 P.M.
