Syracuse, N.Y. – A goal scored by graduate student attacker Francesca Tortora (Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse/Stony Brook) against Stonehill has been named the Le Moyne Play of the Week, presented by 'Phins Hospitality.
 
 
 
With under 2:30 remaining in the 4^th quarter, the Skyhawks and Dolphins were tied 9-9 as Le Moyne controlled possession with a full shot clock. As the Dolphins worked the ball around, Tortora found herself isolated on the left flank.
 
After pulling off a couple body feints, Francesca cut back inside, firing off a shot in past the stick of the Stonehill goalkeeper to put Le Moyne up 10-9.
 
The Dolphins went on to win the game 11-9 to improve to 6-2 on the year after winning their first conference game of the season.
