Syracuse, N.Y. – Le Moyne College today announced that Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach
Jeff Lonczak '03 will be stepping down from his role, effective December 31, to pursue other career opportunities.

Since taking over the programs in 2015, Lonczak has amassed a 115-68 mark leading the men's team, including 51-21 in conference action, while on the women's side, Lonczak is 109-70, including 67-31 in conference play, for an overall record of 224-138, including 118-52 in conference matches.
He guided the men's program to the 2021, 2022 and 2023 NE10 regular season titles (a span in which they went 20-1 in league play) and the 2021 and 2022 tournament championships, while finishing runner-up in 2023. After falling in the NCAA Tournament regional final in 2021, the Dolphins advanced to the NCAA Championships Round of 16 in 2022 and 2023. He guided the men's team to an NCAA Tournament berth for the first time in 2018 and led the women's team to its first berth in 2022, when the Dolphins advanced to the second round.
He was named the NE10 Men's Coach of the Year three times (2018, 2021 and 2022) and coached three Player of the Year award winners (Jared Howard – 2021,
Peter Hatton – 2024 and 2025), two NE10 Rookie of the Year winners (Tiffany Dun – 2015,
Isabella Barona – 2021) and three NE10 Elite 24 award winners (Birdem Oz – 2019, Jared Howard – 2021, Kacper Piekarek – 2022).
A national search is underway to hire the next head coach of the programs.
