MEN'S AND WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD COMPETE AT BOTH BISON OUTDOOR CLASSIC AND BROCKPORT OUTDOOR MULTI

Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's outdoor track & field teams competed at both the Bison Outdoor Classic and the Brockport Outdoor Multi on Sunday.
 
Brockport Outdoor Multi:

"I was thrilled with the athletes performances today," said assistant coach Marie Grasso. "We talked about how we could use visualization to lead us to better performances, and that's just what they did."
 
The Dolphins set two program records at the multi after sophomore Mackenzie Ples (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville) and freshman Trevon Walker (Clay, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) broke records in both the women's 3000m steeplechase and the men's long jump.
 
Ples placed 2nd overall in the steeplechase after finishing with a time of 12:13.53, breaking the program record she set last year at the 2024 Northeast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Walker placed 4th overall in the men's long jump after earning a distance of 21-feet, 5.5-inches, breaking a program record set by Matt Civilette at the 2018 NE10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
 
Walker also competed in the men's 100m event, placing 13th overall with a time of 11.64. Redshirt-junior Connor Scott (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) also competed in the 100m, placing 15th overall with a time of 11.69. Senior Brandon Scott (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) ran in the 200m event, placing 7th overall after clocking in with a time of 23.25. Connor finished three places behind Brandon, finishing 10th overall with a time of 23.61.
 
Brandon also placed 1st overall in the men's 400m after running a time of 52.11, earning his third 1st place finish of the year. Freshman Brendan O'Rourke (New Milford, N.J./Bergen Catholic) placed 5th overall, finishing with a time of 53.86 and classmate Michael Daley (Schenectady, N.Y./Schenectady) placed 8th overall after running a time of 55.15.
 
Senior Jacob Cottet (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt) placed 8th overall in the 800m event after earning a time of 2:04.55. Sophomore Mike Purvis (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) placed 16th overall after finishing with a time of 2:07.57. Freshman Carson Campbell (Lee Center, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) placed 21st overall, running a time of 2:09.11, and sophomore Jacob Makhlouf (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) placed 26th overall after running a time of 2:11.54.
 
Purvis and Campbell also competed in the 1500m event, as Mike placed 2nd overall with a time of 4:07.04, and Carson placing 7th overall with a time of 4:17.98. Redshirt-junior Jake Roman (Liverpool, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse/SUNY Morrisville) placed 13th overall after clocking with a time of 4:21.79.
 
Graduate student KaHo Wong (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder/SUNY Brockport/Quinnipiac) competed in the 5000m event, placing 8th overall in the 17.31.33. The Dolphins had success in the 400m hurdles as sophomore Terry Tillock (Valley Stream, N.Y./Valley Stream South) earned himself a 1st place finish after clocking in with a time of 1:01.00. Freshman Maltrin Ramadani (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool finished just 0.3 seconds behind Tillock, placing 2nd overall with a time of 1:01.30.
 
Freshman Carter DeRosa (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) placed 6th overall in the triple jump event after earning a distance of 40-feet, 0.75-inches. Junior Adam Cuyler (Pheonix, N.Y./C.W.Baker) placed 7th overall in the shot put after he threw a distance of 40-feet, 4.75-inches. He also competed in the hammer throw, placing 24th overall with a distance of 104-feet, 10-inches. Junior Cyril Anderson (Manchester, N.H./Manchester) placed 2nd overall in the javelin throw after earning a distance of 145-feet, 6-inches.
 
Freshman Robert Taddeo (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton), Brandon Scott, Connor Scott and Maltrin Ramadani competed in the 4x100m relay, placing 6th overall and finishing with a time of 52.42. Michael Daley, Jacob Cottet, Jake Roman and Jacob Makhlouf competed in the 4x400m relay, placing 7th overall with a time of 3:43.46.
 
On the women's side, senior Delaney Manahan (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) competed in the 200m event, placing 10th overall after clocking in with a time of 28.52. Freshman Sara Edmonson (Leonardsville, N.Y./Mount Markham) placed 16th overall after running a time of 29.67, as classmate Kiersten Lamphier (Woodhull, N.Y./Jasper-Troupsburg) placed 23rd overall with a time of 30.99.
 
Freshman Caitlin Lamphier (Woodhull, N.Y./Jasper-Troupsburg) placed 7th overall in the 400m event after running a time of 1:14.54. Senior Hailey Beckwith (Stephentown, N.Y./Berlin) placed 24th overall in the 800m event after running a time of 2:51.00, and sophomore Angelina Rodriguez (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) placed 26th overall after running a time of 2:56.32.
 
Edmonson also competed in the 100m hurdles, placing 2nd overall after clocking in with a time of 16.63. Kiersten Lamphier placed 12th overall after running a time of 18.59, and freshman Lilly Gilles (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) placed 14th overall with a time of 20.47. In the 400m hurdles, sophomore Amanda Lowenguth (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) placed 4th overall after running a time of 1:12.55. Gilles placed 6th overall, clocking in with a time of 1:13.61, and sophomore Stephanie James (Schenectady, N.Y./Scotia-Glenville/Saint Rose) placed 11th overall with a time of 1:16.64.
 
Junior Lauren Shaler (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) placed 27th overall in the hammer throw, earning a distance of 105-feet, 11-inches. Classmate Chelsea Dennison (Cato, N.Y./Cato-Meridian) placed 35th overall after earning a distance of 84-feet, 6-inches. Freshman Natalya Seery (Chaumont, N.Y./Lyme Central) competed in the javelin throw, placing 10th overall after earning a distance of 77-feet, 3-inches.
 
Sara Edmonson, Delaney Manahan, Amanda Lowenguth and Lilly Gilles competed in the 4x100m relay, placing 4th overall with a time of 53.95. In the 4x400m relay, Stephanie James, Angelina Rodriguez, Hailey Beckwith and Caitlin Lamphier placed 6th overall after running a time of 5:04.98.
 
"We had two individual wins with Brandon Scott in the 400m, and Terry Tillock in the 400m hurdles running a lifetime best," said coach Grasso. "We had 16 other top-8 performances, which indicated they came to take care of business. It was a very successful meet for us".
 
Bison Outdoor Classic:

Sophomore Rosalie Vincent (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) placed 44th overall in the 100m event after running a time of 12.49. She also competed in the 200m event, placing 30th overall with a time of 25.33.
 
Freshman Jasmin Gonzalez-Rivera (Utica, N.Y./Thomas R. Proctor/Monmouth) placed 54th overall in the 400m hurdles after clocking in with a time of 1:07.85.
 
The quartet of sophomore Christopher Moser (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee), sophomore Skylar Gravell (Malone, N.Y./Franklin Academy), redshirt-junior Matthew Frisa (Spencerport, N.Y./Spencerport) and freshman Christopher Zajdel (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) placed 9th overall in the 4x400m relay after earning a time of 3:21.62.
 
Gravell also competed in the 200m event, placing 73rd overall after running a time of 22.54. Christopher Moser placed 80th overall after running a time of 22.64, and junior Jordan Johnson (Plainfield, N.J./Timothy Christian School) placed 103rd overall after running a time of 23.21.
 
Zajdel competed in the 400m event, placing 15th overall after running a time of 49.08, and Skylar competed in the 800m event, placing 106th overall with a time of 1:58.55. Frisa placed 17th overall in the 400m hurdles, clocking in with a time of 54.99 to conclude the day for the Dolphins.
 
The 'Phins are back in action on Friday April 18th as they are set to compete in the UB Alumni Invite.
