ALLISON EARNS GOLD, TWO SCHOOL RECORDS BROKEN AS MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SWIM & DIVE TEAM COMPETE IN DAY ONE OF NEC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Geneva, O.H. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in the first day of the 2026 NEC Championships on Tuesday night. The women's squad finished the day in third place with 77 team points while the men's team ranked in second place after three events with 108 points. 

Women's Squad:
The 200-yard medley relay team of junior Zoe Coburn (Hickory, N.C./St. Stephens), junior Madeleine O'Dea (Milton, O.N./Milton District), senior Brooke Sommo (Guilderland, N.Y./Guilderland), and junior Kayleigh Bigwarfe (Glenmont, N.Y./Bethlehem) placed seventh with a final time of 1:46.64.

Sophomore Gabby Williams (Scotia, N.Y./Scotia-Glenville) placed fourth in the three-meter dive with a final score of 228.35, three spots ahead of fellow sophomore Alyssa Kearns (Latham, N.Y. / Shaker) who scored 171.00 to take seventh place.  

The relay team of freshman Shea Gillespie (Oro Medonte, Ontario / St. Joseph's), sophomore Shannon Swezey (Bayport, N.Y. / Bayport-Blue Point), sophomore Kaiya Fraley (Watervliet N.Y. / Shaker), and freshman Sophia Stinnett (Hillsborough, N.C. / Cedar Ridge) finished at the 7:51.84 mark in the 800-yard freestyle relay, earning them sixth place in the event.

Men's Team:
The 200-yard medley relay team consisting of freshman Owen Daniels (Rhinebeck, N.Y. / Redhook), sophomore Lucas Clay (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker), sophomore Alexander Pilieci (Ottawa, O.N. / John McCrae), and junior Justin Enser (Hilton, N.Y. / Hilton) set a new school record and earned second place with a 1:29.37 finish. 

The team earned a spot in the CSCAA National Invitational Championship which will be held from Mar. 12-14 in Ocala, Fla. due to their qualifying finish less than 1:29.57. 

Sophomore Louis Allison (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) earned the gold medal in the one-meter dive with a final score of 262.35, ahead of junior Adam Kaszovitz (Hicksville, N.Y./Hicksville) who placed fifth in the event with a score of 235.95.

Clay, sophomore Jack Milligan (East Islip, N.Y. / East Islip), freshman John Mummery (New Windsor, N.Y. / Newburgh), and sophomore Michael White Jr. (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) took second place and set a new school record in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a final time of 6:42.91.
