Bridgewater, N.J. – Le Moyne College senior attackman
Thomas Berry (Tully, N.Y./Tully) has been named the NEC men's lacrosse Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Berry collects the recognition after scoring seven goals and scooping up three ground balls in Le Moyne's 1-1 week. He scored once and grabbed two ground balls in a setback at Hobart on Tuesday. He tallied a career-high six goals in a 13-12 victory over VMI to start NEC play on Saturday. His six goals were consecutive and the last five put the Dolphins up each time. The six goals are the most by a Dolphin in their DI era.
Through nine games, he leads the team with 16 points on 16 goals. He is tied for fifth in the NEC in goals and tied for ninth in goals per game.
Le Moyne (2-7, 1-0 NEC), which beat VMI to open NEC play for the second straight year (10-9 last year), is back in action next Saturday by hosting LIU at 12:00 p.m.
