Bridgewater, N.J. – Le Moyne College graduate student attacker Francesca Tortora (Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse/Stony Brook) has been named the NEC women's lacrosse Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
 
Tortora collects the recognition for the second time in three weeks after tallying seven points on five goals and two assists in Le Moyne's 2-0 week, while adding five caused turnovers and four ground balls. She recorded three goals, two caused turnovers and one ground ball in an 18-1 victory over Mercyhurst on Wednesday. In Saturday's matchup of the last two unbeaten teams in the NEC with Wagner, she registered four points on two goals, including the game-winner 1:13 into overtime, and two assists as the Dolphins defeated the Seahawks 9-8, while posting career highs of three caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Through 11 games, Tortora has 33 points on 21 goals and 12 assists. She is tied for sixth in the NEC in assists, sixth in total points, seventh in points per game (3.00), eighth in assists per game (1.09) and 10th in goals and goals per game (1.91).
 
Le Moyne (9-2, 4-0 NEC), which has won its first four NEC games for the second time in three years in the league, returns to action next Saturday at the University of New Haven at 1:00 p.m. While opponents in the NE10 from 2011 to 2023, the Dolphins won 15 of the 17 meetings, including all seven in West Haven, Connecticut.
