Bridgewater, N.J. – Le Moyne College junior goalkeeper
Amanda Manfredi (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) has been named the NEC women's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Manfredi earns the honor for the first time in her career and is the first Dolphin goalkeeper to receive the accolade since current assistant coach
Paige Crandall '24 was recognized on March 25, 2024. Manfredi registered 11 saves, including four in the fourth quarter, and four ground balls in Le Moyne's 11-7 victory over FDU on Saturday, which clinched the Dolphins a berth in the upcoming NEC Championship.

She leads the NEC and has the eighth-best save percentage in the nation (if Le Moyne student-athletes were ranked during its transition period), while leading the NEC and having the 11th-best GAA.
Le Moyne (12-3, 7-1 NEC), which has won 12 games at the Division I level for the sixth time and for the first time since 2008, closes out the regular season on Saturday at Central Connecticut State University. With a win over the Blue Devils, the Dolphins will earn at least a share of the regular season title as well as the top seed and the right to host the NEC Championship (April 30 and May 2).
