Syracuse, N.Y. – Le Moyne College Assistant Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics and Campus Recreation Phil Brown announced on Tuesday that Linda M. LeMura Endowed Head Women's Basketball Coach Nick DiPillo has signed a contract extension through the 2030-31 season.

"We are excited to extend Coach DiPillo's contract and ensure the continued growth of our women's basketball program," said Brown. "Throughout our reclassification to Division I, he has been an exceptional partner to our administration, navigating the transition with immense integrity, vision and a championship mindset. He embodies the values of our College and we are confident he is the right leader to anchor our future in the DI ranks."

"I'm incredibly grateful to President LeMura and Athletic Director Phil Brown for their continued support of our vision for the Women's Basketball program here at Le Moyne," said DiPillo, who enters his third year in charge of the Dolphins. "I believe this extension is a direct reflection of a terrific staff and student-athletes who have worked tirelessly toward building a championship culture. Our best days are still ahead of us and there has never been a better time to be a Dolphin!"

Through his first two years on the Heights, DiPillo has led the Dolphins to back-to-back appearances in the NEC Championship semifinals following road victories over the fourth seed each year. The Dolphins, who are one of just two programs to win an NEC tournament game in each of the last two years, have 15 NEC regular season victories under DiPillo.

A post player has earned all-conference second team honors in each season under DiPillo, while having an all-rookie team guard each year as well. In his first season on the Le Moyne sideline, graduate student Haedyn Roberts was named to the second team after ranking 14th in the league in scoring (11.7) and fifth in rebounding (6.7). Eli Clark was tabbed to the all-rookie team after averaging 8.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists (seventh-best in the NEC). This past season, junior Ashley Buragas placed eighth in the conference in scoring (12.7) and fourth in rebounding (7.2) to land on the second team and freshman Peyton Dincher was named to the all-rookie team after posting 6.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest.

Off the court, four student-athletes (the maximum allotted) have earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® honors each year in DiPillo's tenure.

DiPillo was named the seventh head coach in Le Moyne women's basketball history on May 23, 2024 with over two decades of women's collegiate coaching experience, with stints at the Division I and Division III levels, as well a five-year term with the New York Liberty in the WNBA. He served as an assistant coach at Seton Hall, Pittsburgh and Bowling Green around a tenure as head coach at Scranton.
