Syracuse, N.Y. - The Le Moyne College men's soccer team have released their 2026 full schedule, as announced by the department on Wednesday. Their 16-game schedule features eight non-conference opponents, including Syracuse University, before beginning NEC play against New Haven on October 1st. Under the guidance of Head Coach Callum Donnelly '17, M '21, who enters his fourth season as head coach, the Dolphins are poised for an exciting season, blending experienced returners with fresh talent eager to make their mark on the field.
 
"We're looking to build on last season in conference play, and we also have fantastic non-conference opponents," said Donnelly when asked about his thoughts on the upcoming season. The Dolphins ended their 2025 campaign 4-3-2 in NEC action, and were one of four teams to qualify for the 2025 NEC Men's Soccer Championships.
 
The Dolphins will kick off their season on August 20^th with a home game against Canisius University at 4:00 P.M. at Ted Grant Field. The two programs previously met in 2024, as the Dolphins took home a 3-2 victory as Ted Grant Field. Continuing their home stint, the Dolphins will face off against SUNY Polytechnic Institute on August 23^rd at 4:00 P.M. for the first time in program history.
 
On August 27^th, the Dolphins will hit the road to challenge Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. at 7:00 P.M. This will be the first time the two sides have met during the regular season since the 1991 campaign. The team will remain on the road for a clash against St. Bonaventure University on August 30^th at 5:00 P.M. This will be followed by a return to Ted Grant Field to host Niagara University on September 5^th at 4:00 P.M. The two sides have met a total of four times, beginning in 1969, as the 'Phins look to secure their first victory over the Purple Eagles. 
 
Fans can also anticipate a thrilling away game against Binghamton University on September 12^th at 6:00 P.M., followed by a home match against Lafayette College on September 15^th at 4:00 P.M. Each of these contests provides a fresh challenge, as the Dolphins aim to build a robust and winning streak.
 
A highlight of the season is the much-anticipated away game against Syracuse University on September 19^th at 7:00 P.M. Coach Donnelly expressed his excitement about this matchup, noting, "Some of our exciting non-conference matches include playing away at Syracuse. It's always amazing to play against the best teams in the country." This fixture is expected to draw significant attention as the Dolphins compete against one of the top teams in the nation. The two programs collided for the first time in history on September 4^th, 2024, as the Dolphins took down #7 Syracuse, a result that shook the soccer world.
 
The Dolphins begin NEC action at home against the University of New Haven on October 1^st at 1:00 P.M., before traveling to face Stonehill College in North Easton, Mass. on October 4^th at 1:00 P.M. The team will then take on FDU at home on October 11^th at 1:00 P.M., followed by an away game against Chicago State University on October 15^th at 7:00 P.M.
 
The Dolphins will continue their quest with games against Central Connecticut State University at home on October 18^th at 1:00 P.M., and an away game at Mercyhurst University on October 25^th at 1:00 P.M. The regular season will wrap up with a home fixture against Howard University on November 1^st at 1:00 P.M. and an away game at LIU on November 8^th with the time to be determined.
 
As Coach Donnelly shared, "We're looking forward to having a strong group of returners. We're also excited about bringing in some young, exciting talent to our squad. We will have six new players join a strong group of returners." The blend of seasoned players and new additions promises to bring an exciting dynamic to the team, as they strive to build on last season's successes and tackle this year's schedule.
