MEN'S SOCCER VOTED 2ND IN 2026 NEC PRESEASON COACHES POLL

Bridgewater, N.J. – The Le Moyne College men's soccer team was voted second in the NEC Preseason Coaches Poll, per a release from the conference on Tuesday.

Defending champion FDU was unanimously voted as the top team in the conference after securing all eight first-place votes.

The Dolphins, who have earned three consecutive NEC postseason appearances (25th consecutive including the NE10), were voted to finish second after a successful 2025 campaign. The Dolphins finished 4th overall, and met the top-seeded FDU during the championships last season.

Seven-time conference champion LIU were voted third, while Mercyhurst and Stonehill were voted fourth and fifth, respectively.

Le Moyne brings back redshirt junior forward Felix Ludemann (Wrestedt, Germany/Herzog-Ernst-Gymnasium Uelzen) and graduate student Antonino Pagano (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius/Syracuse/Coastal Carolina), who finished second and third for the most goals and points during the 2025 season.

Le Moyne College recently completed its full transition to Division I, and will look for its first opportunity to compete in the NCAA Tournament with the NEC's automatic bid if the 'Phins win the NEC Championships.

As the Dolphins completed its transition, former NE10 foes New Haven and Mercyhurst are eligible to compete in the NEC Championships, but are still barred from NCAA tournament competition.

The 2026 NEC Men's Soccer Championship will take place on November 12th and 15th and will feature the top four teams according to the conference table. The high seeds will serve as the host institution for the semifinal and final matches.
