Hermitage, Pa. – Second year Caroline McShea (Old Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) tied for 32nd place to lead the Le Moyne College women's golf team to a 10th-place finish at the season-opening Roseann Schwartz Invitational hosted by Youngstown State University on Monday at the par-70, 5901-yard Avalon at Buhl Park Golf Course.

The Dolphins had consecutive rounds of 322 to end the day in 10th place with a 644, tied for the fourth-best 36-hole score in the program's history. The Dolphins recorded a 322 or better in back-to-back rounds for just the fourth time. Ohio State University won the team competition with a total of 572 off rounds of 283 and 289. The University of Akron placed second at 588 after scores of 298 and 290. Bowling Green State University finished third with a 589 following rounds of 290 and 299. Ohio State's Matilde Santilli earned medalist honors with a two-under score of 138 after rounds of five-under 65 and a 73.

McShea finished in a four-way tie for 32nd in the 74-member field with a 156, which is the second-best 36-hole score of her career. She tallied two birdies and 18 pars. She opened with a 79 and then tallied a 77 in the afternoon.

Fourth year Gianna Cafarella (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Preparatory School) landed in a three-way tie for 49th with a 161, which featured one birdie and 16 pars. She registered an 82 in the morning round and followed with a 79 over the second 18 holes.

First year Destiny Jodoin (Farmington, N.Y./Victor) finished in a four-way tie for 54th with a 163, including two birdies and 14 pars. She recorded a 79 in the first round and posted an 84 in the afternoon.

Third year Olivia Dahn (Bristol, Conn./St. Paul Catholic) placed 58th with a 164, which featured two birdies and 16 pars. She turned in back-to-back rounds of 82.

First year Kamryn Yerman (Frankfort, N.Y./Sauquoit Valley) finished 61st by recording a total of 166, which included two birdies and 15 pars. She opened with an 82 and then had an 84.

First year Rachel Warren (Virginia Beach, Va./Landstown), who played as an individual, landed in a four-way tie for 45th with a 160, which included one birdie and 17 pars. She opened her career with an 81 and then followed with a 79 in the afternoon.

The Dolphins return to action at the Tribe Invitational hosted by William & Mary next Monday and Tuesday at the Kingsmill Resort River Course in Williamsburg, Va.
