Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's soccer team (1-5-0) is set to host Siena University (3-1-1) on Wednesday, September 2^nd at 4:00 P.M. Le Moyne enters the match following a 2-1 win over Saint Peter's, as Siena comes into the match following a 0-0 draw against Binghamton. At the weekend, the Dolphins travel to UAlbany for their match on Sunday against the Great Danes.

In the first meeting in 1982, the 'Phins took down the Saints by an impressive score of 14-2 at home. The following year, Le Moyne took a trip to Loudonville, N.Y., taking down Siena by a score of 8-2.
 
In more recent history, Le Moyne hosted Siena in 2024 in its fourth match of the new Division I season, falling with a score of 1-3. The following season, the Dolphins improved with a 0-0 draw against the Saints.

The Dolphins and Great Danes have met a total of eight times prior to Sunday's contest, the first dating back to 1981 where Le Moyne fell to UAlbany 2-3. The following year, UAlbany defeated Le Moyne 1-2 before the 'Phins went on to win the next three meetings 5-1, 4-0 and 4-0. The last time the Great Danes and Dolphins met prior to UAlbany transitioning to Division I was in 1995, where the 'Phins took home a 3-1 victory.
 
UAlbany officially transitioned to Division I in 1999, temporarily ending the series matchup before the 'Phins transitioned to Division I in 2023. The two programs met again in 2025, as the Great Danes took home a 1-0 win over the 'Phins.
