Hamilton, N.Y. – Third year Mac Quinn (Glenwood, N.Y./Canisius HS) tied for 21st place to lead the Le Moyne College men's golf team to a 12th-place finish at the Alex Lagowitz Invitational hosted by Colgate University on Saturday and Sunday at the par-72, 7125-yard Seven Oaks Golf Club.

Seton Hall University won the team competition by 10 shots with an 11-under par total of 853 following rounds of 10-under 278, two-under 286 and one-over 289. Saint Joseph's placed second at one-under 863 off scores of 290, two-under 286 and one-under 287. Holy Cross finished third at 866 after rounds of 292, 289 and three-under 285. The Dolphins finished 12th at 885 following scores of 294, 292 and 299. Bucknell's Charlie Barrickman earned medalist honors with a seven-under par total of 209 after rounds of three-under 69, one-under 71 and another three-under 69.

Quinn finished in a four-way tie for 21st place with a career-best 54-hole score of one-over 217, which included 10 birdies and 34 pars. He opened with a career-best two-under 70 on Saturday morning, which featured five birdies and 10 pars. He followed with three birdies and 13 pars en route to a one-under 71, the second-best mark of his career, in the afternoon round to end the day in a tie for third place. He closed out the invitational with a 76, which included two birdies and 11 pars.
 
Fourth year Owen Corby (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) landed in an eight-way tie for 27th place with a 219, which featured one eagle, eight birdies and 33 pars. He carded a 75, including three birdies and 10 pars, in the opening round. He registered an eagle, three birdies and 11 pars as he turned in a two-under 70 in the afternoon. He moved up two places on Sunday with a 74, which featured two birdies and 12 pars.

Third year Tyler Stark (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) finished in a four-way tie for 56th place at 225, which included six birdies and 34 pars. He tallied a 75 in the first round, which featured one birdie and 13 pars. He followed with 14 pars to post a 76 in the afternoon round. He registered five birdies and seven pars on his way to a 74 on Sunday as he moved up five places.

Second year Jacob Olearczyk (Barneveld, N.Y./Holland Patent) landed in a three-way tie for 67th with a total of 228, which included four birdies and a team-high 35 pars. He posted one birdie and 11 pars on his way to an opening round 78. He then turned in one birdie and 13 pars to finish with a 75 in the second round. He tallied another 75 to move up two spots on Sunday, which featured two birdies and 11 pars.

Third year George Green (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) tied for 81st with a 235, which included one eagle, six birdies and 24 pars. He registered a 74 in the opening round, which featured the eagle, two birdies and nine pars. In the afternoon, he had three birdies and six pars en route to a 79. He closed out the invitational with an 82, including one birdie and nine pars.

Third year Jacob Moody (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee), who played as an individual, finished in a four-way tie for 40th with a 221, which featured 10 birdies and 31 pars. He carded a 78 in the first round, which included two birdies and nine pars. He tallied three birdies and 11 pars on his way to a 74 in the afternoon round. He vaulted up 27 spots in the standings on Sunday with a 69, which featured five birdies and 11 pars.

In his collegiate debut, first year Kai Chiarenza (Rexford, N.Y./Shenendehowa), who played as an individual, finished in a three-way tie for 67th with a 228, which included six birdies and 33 pars. He posted a 77, featuring two birdies and 10 pars, on Saturday morning. He then had one birdie and nine pars in an 81 in the afternoon. He registered a two-under 70, including three birdies and 14 pars, in the final round to jump 13 places.

The Dolphins are back on the links on Saturday, September 19 for the opening day of the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate hosted by Brown University at Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk, Massachusetts.
