Clinton, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's indoor track teams each set three program records at the Hamilton College Continental Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.
Junior
Sean Beney (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) registered the team's only win of the day by crossing the finish line first in the 5000-meter run with a program record and Northeast-10 Conference Championships qualifying time of 15:32.14.
Freshman
Chris Davitt (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) recorded a program record and NE10-qualifying time of 4:27.69 en route to placing second in the one-mile run.
Sophomore
Jordan Finch (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Poughkeepsie) registered a pair of second-place finishes. He was second in the 60-meter dash with a season-best time of 7.36 seconds, the third-best time in the program's history. He then posted a season-best time of 23.47 seconds to finish second in the 200-meter dash.
Sophomore
Griffin Klein (Fair Haven, N.Y./Red Creek) placed second in the 3000-meter run by recording a time of 9:25.77.
Sophomore
Hamza Elhabbal (Fayetteville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) registered a season-best time of 1:09.78 to place fifth in the 500-meter dash.
Junior
Matthew Civilette (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) placed in the top-seven in both of the horizontal jumping events. He finished fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 41-feet, 5.25-inches. He placed seventh in the long jump with a leap of 18-feet, 6.5-inches.
Senior
Cresnor Holt (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Arcadia) turned in a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.17 seconds.
Sophomore
Mahamadou Jagana (Bronx, N.Y./DeWitt Clinton) recorded a seventh-place finish in the 800-meter run by posting a season-best time of 2:08.77.
Freshman
Jacob Davis (Feura Bush, N.Y./Bethlehem) tallied ninth-place finishes in each of the throwing events. In the shot put, he recorded a toss of 39-feet, 4.5-inches and he posted a mark of 39-feet, 2.5-inches in the weight throw.
Finch, Holt, Civilette and freshman
Colton Francemone (Solvay, N.Y./Solvay) teamed for a third-place finish in the 4x200-meter relay with a program-record time of 1:37.68. The quartet of Klein, Beney, freshman
Dom Battaglia (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) and Davitt finished third in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of 8:44.63, the third-fastest time in the program's history.
On the women's side, sophomores
Brittney Mack (Poestenkill, N.Y./Averill Park) and
Val Pirro (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) had the team's best finish of the day by recording second-place finishes. Mack placed second in the 800-meter run with a program record and NE10-qualifying time of 2:27.35. Pirro crossed the finish line second in the 60-meter hurdles in 11.39 seconds.
Pirro added a fourth-place finish in the triple jump by registering a program-record distance of 29-feet, 10.75-inches.
The Dolphins had four of the top-nine finishers in the mile race. Sophomore
Rachael Miller (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) led the group by placing fourth in 5:39.21. Junior
Jeanette Cudney (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) placed sixth in 5:46.16, freshman
Siara Clos (Syracuse, N.Y./Onondaga) was one spot back in 5:59.15 and freshman
Jill Stagnitta (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) placed ninth in 6:08.13.
Cudney and Clos each finished in the top-five in the 3000-meter run. Cudney tallied a fourth-place finish with a time of 11:45.71, while Clos finished just 0.73 seconds later to place fifth.
Freshman
Ashley Anderson (Glens Falls, N.Y./South Glens Falls) also recorded a pair of top-six finishes on the day. She placed third in the 60-meter dash in 8.42 seconds after qualifying for the finals with an NE10-qualifying time of 8.35 seconds in the preliminaries. She then placed sixth in the 200-meter dash in 27.81 seconds.
Junior
Meg Hubregsen (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) tallied a pair of top-seven finishes. She recorded a leap of 14-feet, 7.25-inches to place fourth in the long jump. One the track, she registered a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter dash in 27.90 seconds.
Freshman
Jordan Sloan (Central Square, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) finished in sixth place in the 400-meter dash with an NE10-qualifying time of 1:04.10.
Junior
Bella Sterly (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) broke her own program record in the weight throw with a distance of 32-feet, 7.75-inches to place 12th. She also tallied a seventh-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 33-feet, 6.75-inches.
The quartet of Mack, Hubregsen, Miller and Sloan placed second in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:16.27. Pirro, junior
Erin Fayle (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville), Anderson and Sloan combined to place third in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:59.24. The team of
