SYRACUSE, NY-The Le Moyne women's tennis team fell to the American International College Yellow Jackets 7-2. The loss drops Le Moyne to 2-12, (2-8) on the season.
Shorthanded due to injury, the Dolphins were not able to keep pace with the Yellow Jackets. The Yellow Jackets earned two points on default victories in the match. The only victories came from Le Moyne's Claire Wittmeier and Molly Slifer. Wittmeier defeated Sara Strzempek 11-9, in a tie breaking match. Slifer defeated Lindsey Wolfe 7-5 in the first set and 6-0 in the second set.
The Dolphins will close out their season with two remaining conference games. They look to snap their seven game losing-streak Sunday, April 6th on the road against Assumption College. They will close out their season Wednesday, April thirteenth against Marrimack College.
