SPRINGFIELD, MA - Junior Tim Martins (Cortland, NY / Cortland) and sophomore Andrew Lloyd (Oswego, NY / Oswego) led the Dolphins to a 6th place finished at the American International Invitational held on Monday, April 20th and Tuesday, April 21stat Springfield Country Club.
Martins led Le Moyne with a 13th place finish after posting rounds of 82 and 78 (+16). Lloyd finished in a five-way tie for 16th with rounds of 79 and 83 (+18). AIC's Garrett Boyer earned medalist honors with an even par score of 144, seven shots clear of Brant Kummerfeld of Adelphi.
Adelphi University claimed top team honors with a two-day score of 619 (+43). Host AIC finished in second, five shots back at 624. Southern New Hampshire, UMass-Lowell and Assumption placed third, fourth and fifth respectively in front of Le Moyne.
On the heels of their NE-10 Championship this fall, the Dolphins will now make preparations for the NCAA Northeast Super Regionals to be held on May 4-6 at the Glade Springs Resort in Beckley, West Virginia.
