Box Score Syracuse, N.Y. – Scott Levy scored a goal in each half to lead Bentley University to a 2-0 win over the Le Moyne College men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Field.
Following 30 minutes of scoreless play to start the game, Marty Ryan sent a pass in front of the goal from near the right sideline. The pass found its way to Levy, who slipped his shot inside the far left post for his third goal of the season.
The Dolphins had a chance to tie the score just over seven and one-half minutes into the second half, but Bentley goalkeeper Jack Blatchford turned away a shot by senior forward Emmanuel Chanelo (Syracuse, N.Y./Corcoran).
The Falcons doubled their lead three minutes as Ryan and Levy connected again. Ryan fed the ball towards the top right corner of the penalty box from midfield. Levy beat the Le Moyne goalkeeper to the ball and chipped a shot into the left side of the goal at the 55:38 mark.
Senior goalkeeper Matthew Silva">Matthew Silva (Brampton, Ontario/St. Augustine) suffered the loss to snap his career-best five-game win streak. Blatchford earned the win by making three saves between the pipes. Le Moyne registered a 9-7 edge in shots, while recording a 9-5 advantage in corner kicks, including 7-1 in the second half.
Le Moyne (5-2, 3-1 NE-10), which drops to 0-2 on the season when allowing the game's first goal, returns to action on Wednesday at Southern Connecticut State University at 7:00 p.m.
