Tara O'Donnell (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) and freshman
Kelsey Smith (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) each posted three wins for the women's team in a 142-97 loss.
Buff earned all three of Le Moyne's wins on the afternoon. In the first individual event of the day, Buff registered a time of 10:36.73 to touch the wall first in the 1000-yard freestyle by over 20 seconds. He picked up his second victory by recording a season-best time of 1:58.90 to capture the 200-yard IM by 1.69 seconds. He was then victorious in the 500-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 4:54.51 to top his closest competitor by almost three and one-half seconds.
On the women's side, O'Donnell and Smith teamed with freshmen
Alyssa Baker (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) and
Lindsey Wright (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) to win the meet-opening 200-yard medley relay by almost three seconds with a season-best time of 1:53.64.
O'Donnell registered her team's first individual win of the day by edging out Gabriana Beckford in the 200-yard freestyle by just 0.33 seconds with a season-best time of 1:59.02. She picked up Le Moyne's final win of the meet by topping the field in the 100-yard backstroke by 1.64 seconds with a time of 1:01.40. Smith earned her first individual win of the afternoon by touching the wall first in the 200-yard IM by almost two and one-half seconds. She added a win in the 100-yard freestyle by 1.3 seconds with a time of 55.36 seconds.
The Dolphins close out the semester at the three-day Ithaca Invitational. Action at the Ithaca Athletics & Events Center Aquatics Pavilion kicks off on Friday, December 5 and continues on Saturday and Sunday.
