Waltham, Mass. – The Le Moyne College women's tennis team won its fifth straight match to remain in the hunt for a Northeast-10 Conference Championships berth with a 5-4 victory at Bentley University on Wednesday afternoon.

The Dolphins took a 2-1 lead in the match following the doubles competition. At the first position, sophomore Tiffany Dun (Templestowe, Victoria/Doncaster Secondary College) and junior Amica Benoit-Limosani (Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec/Collège Saint-Maurice) defeated Rachel Petrini and Katie Tynan,  8-0. Junior Rithika Vajjiravelu () and Christina Perry (Endwell, N.Y./Seton Catholic) were victorious at the second spot against Hannah Fabianski and Katie Brandow by a score of 8-5. Bentley picked up its first win of the day at the third spot as Corrie MacLean and Tiffany Suchanek posted an 8-2 win over junior Autumn Hogan (Rochester, N.Y./Aquinas Institute) and freshman Cameron Aiello (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill).

The Dolphins claimed the top half of the singles competition to capture the victory. At the first spot, Dun was a 6-2, 6-0 winner over Petrini. Vajjiravelu picked up Le Moyne's fourth point with a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Fabianski at the second position. Benoit-Limosani clinched the victory by rallying for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 win at the third spot over Suchanek. Tynan registered back-to-back 6-2 wins at the fourth spot against Perry, while Susan Stowe won at fifth singles against Hogan, 6-1, 6-4. Brandow tallied Bentley's fourth point by topping Aiello at the sixth spot, 6-2, 6-1.

Le Moyne (8-7, 7-5 NE-10) is currently tied in the win column with Adelphi University for the final spot in the Northeast-10 Conference Championships. The Panthers conclude their conference schedule on Saturday at Saint Anselm College. If the Panthers fall to the Hawks, the Dolphins would win the tiebreaker and claim the sixth seed due to a 5-4 win over Adelphi on September 27.
