Bianca Cruz-Hernandez (Lake Mary, Fla./Lake Mary) earned a second-place finish with a score of 149 to lead the Le Moyne College women's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational on Sunday and Monday at the Par 72, 5924-yard Keene Country Club.
Merrimack College captured the first-place spot with a two-day score of 628 off rounds of 312 and 316. The Warriors were led by senior Krystal Knight, who had a two-day score of two-under par 142 off a three-under 69 and a 73. Franklin Pierce University finished in second place with a two-day score of 640 with single-day scores of 314 and 326. Southern New Hampshire University placed third with a two-day score of 663 off rounds of 327 and 336. The Dolphins carded rounds of 330 and 338 for a season-best two-day score of 668 to earn fourth place.
Cruz-Hernandez placed second overall with a two-day score of 149, which is the second best in school history. Her 73 in the first round also places her second for a single-round score in the Dolphins record books. Freshman
Meghan McKeen (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) had a second-day score of 81 to improve her five spots to ninth on the leaderboard. She totaled a score of 161 at the two-day event. Junior
Lauren Kase (North Tonawanda, N.Y./Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart) finished tied for 24th place with a two-day score of 171 off of rounds of 85 and 86, while sophomore
Micayla Moldenke (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer) totaled 187 off of single-day scores of 92 and 95 and tied for 40th. Junior
Tessa Zmudosky (Rome, N.Y. / Rome Free Academy) earned 44th place with a two-day score of 199 off of scores of 100 and 99.
The Dolphins return to action on Monday October 1 and Tuesday October 2 at the Granite State Invitational, hosted by Merrimack at Nashua Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire.
