Syracuse, N.Y. – The 2021-22 Le Moyne College men's golf team is scheduled to open its season on September 20, as the team's Fall schedule was released on Monday afternoon.
The six-event schedule will feature five invitationals and the Northeast-10 Conference Championship.
"I'm excited to get back into a full schedule," said 15th-year head coach
Joe Tesori '71. "We've got our traditional fall tournaments at Southern New Hampshire, Saint Rose and Post and our Fall invitational at Bellevue, where we've got a full field. The highlight of the schedule is the NE10 Championships at Concord Country Club, a place where we won as a team in 2014. We close out the semester again this year at Rollins, competing in a field with several top-10 programs. We've got a great team coming back and I'm excited to get going."
The Dolphins open the season on Monday, September 20 at Southern New Hampshire University's Penmen Fall Invitational at Derryfield Country Club in Manchester, N.H. The 54-hole event will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday the 21st.
Just under two weeks later, the Dolphins will return to New Hampshire for the NE10 Championship at Concord Country Club in Concord, N.H. The defending champions will play 18 holes on Sunday, October 3 and conclude the championship with 18 holes on Monday the 4th.
The Dolphins will then compete in three events in a span of nine days. The stretch opens on Friday, October 8 at The College of Saint Rose's Fall Shootout, where the Dolphins are the defending champions, at Pinehaven Country Club in Guilderland, N.Y. Friday and Saturday's rounds will each consist of 18 holes. Following an off-day, the Dolphins are back on the course on Monday the 11th and Tuesday the 12th at the Post University Eagles Invitational at Watertown Golf Club in Watertown, Connecticut. The Dolphins wrap up the stretch by hosting their Fall Invitational at Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse on Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th.
The Dolphins finish up their Fall schedule at Rollins College's 54-hole McDonough Cup at Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, Florida the first two days of November. The first day will feature two rounds and 36 holes and the second day will consist of one 18-hole round.
The team's Spring schedule, which will feature two invitationals hosted by Le Moyne - the annual Mike Bello Invitational and a showcase/preview of the venue hosting the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional (Ravenwood Golf Course in Victor, N.Y.) - will be released later in the semester.
