Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's swimming and diving teams returned to action on Tuesday with a sweep of Alfred University at the Rev. Vincent B. Ryan, S.J. Pool. The men defeated the Saxons, 132-89, while the women were 140-61 victors.

MaryLauren Burke (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) opened the meet by winning the 200-yard medley with a time of 1:57.40.

Madison Zapisek (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) won the 1000-yard freestyle by almost 41 seconds with a time of 11:22.78.
Senior
Vicky Silaika (Rexford, N.Y./Shenendehowa) was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:04.41.
Junior
Caitlyn Longway (Sauquoit, N.Y./Sauquoit Valley) registered the win in the 50-yard freestyle by almost two seconds by touching the wall in 25.27 seconds. She was victorious in the 100-yard freestyle by almost three seconds with a time of 55.52 seconds.
Redshirt freshman
Veronika Nelson (Vernon Center, N.Y./Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) claimed the 200-yard IM by just 0.27 seconds with a time of 2:27.01. She later won the 100-yard butterfly by six-tenths of a second with a time of 1:09.31.
Thomas recorded a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke by over three seconds with a time of 1:01.43.
Kellogg placed first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:27.20 to win by over five seconds.
On the men's side, junior
Joseph Malone (Merrick, N.Y./Wellington C. Mepham/SUNY Old Westbury) picked up the team's first win of the day by placing first in the 1000-yard freestyle by almost 30 seconds with a time of 10:35.37. He completed the sweep of the distance events with a time of 5:08.50 to win the 500-yard freestyle.
Freshman
Belal Hamad (Syracuse, N.Y./PSAL at Fowler) claimed the 200-yard freestyle by almost six seconds by touching the wall in 1:47.70.
Junior
Charles Morris (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) topped the field in the 50-yard freestyle in 21.66 seconds. He was victorious in the 100-yard freestyle by just 0.25 seconds with a time of 47.72 seconds.
Freshman
Justin Byrne (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) won the first one-meter diving event with 168.95 points. He registered 280.45 points to win the second one-meter diving event.
Senior
Brandon Bardin (Burnt Hills, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) recorded the win in the 100-yard butterfly by three seconds with a time of 55.20 seconds.
Freshman
Dominic Fratto (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) won the 100-yard backstroke by two seconds in 55.52 seconds.
The Dolphins complete the road portion of their regular season schedule on Friday at Nazareth College at 4:00 p.m.
