Ithaca, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's indoor track and field teams closed out the regular season on Saturday at the non-scoring Marc Deneault Invitational hosted by Cornell University at Barton Hall.
"I was very pleased with the Cornell meet," said head coach
Robin Wheeless. "It was an excellent tuneup for our Conference Championship meet next week. We had lots of season's best times. We also had 3 school records:
Grace Kitterman tied her teammate
Shaina Smith for the school record in the 60-meter hurdles, freshman
Brandon Scott broke the school record in the 300-meter dash and Nick Hafner set the record for the 60-meter hurdles.
Christian Carlin-Saracene won the 600, just missing the school record and Nick Hafner missed the high jump record by one centimeter. At our championship I'm hoping we set a few more records.
Kenny Barrett is looking for a school record in the 800 and
Julianna Szczech is primed to break her own record in the pole vault. It should be a couple of exciting days."
