Roxbury, Mass. – Following the first day of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center, the Le Moyne College men's indoor track and field team is in eighth place and the women's team sits in 11th place.
Head coach
Robin Wheeless had this to say after the competition…"
Christian Carlin-Saracene broke our school record in the 800 meter trials, improving his personal best by over three seconds and taking almost two full seconds off the old record held by Griffin Klein.
Kenny Barrett came close to breaking the record again in the very next heat. Both will be racing tomorrow in the finals of the 800.
Julianna Szczech placed 5th in the pole vault.
Madison Kozyra and Will Bilow both finished 7th. Madison in the weight throw and Will in the high jump. Nick Hafner is currently in 3rd after day one of the heptathlon. On day two he'll need to deal with the pole vault but the hurdles and 1000 are two of his better events. It should be an exciting day tomorrow."
