Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College baseball team took both games of their Saturday afternoon doubleheader against Saint Michael's College, which was played at the Onondaga Community College baseball complex, to improve to 9-11 on the season.
"It was nice to see the combination of good pitching and hitting today. The offense was locked in and the pitchers were filling up the zone. It was a good day to have as we roll into conference play next weekend," said Le Moyne Head Coach

Senior first baseman
Ty Syta went 2-4 with a solo homerun during game one which resulted in a 15-2 'Phins win.
Syta nearly hit for the cycle during game two as Le Moyne cruised to a 16-2 win. Syta went 3-6 during the back end of the doubleheader with a double, a triple, a two-run homerun, two runs scored, and a career-high five RBIs.
Zach Brush went 4-5 at the plate with one RBI and three runs scored in game one, then the junior center fielder went 3-6 during game two with four RBIs.
Sophomore left-hander
Max Parker started game one on the mound for the 'Phins and went 6.0 innings to earn the win. Graduate left-hander
Joe Vail pitched the final 3.0 innings in relief to earn the save. Vail conceded zero hits and zero runs during his appearance.
Jacob Marshall started game two on the mound for the 'Phins and recorded nine strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work.
The Dolphins will play a weekend series at Southern Connecticut State University on April 2-3.
