Manuel Righi (Bologna, Italy/IPC Manfredi - ITC Tanari/Concordia (N.Y.)/Universita di Bologna) and freshman
Peter Hatton (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt/Club Med Academics/Army West Point) have earned Northeast-10 Conference men's tennis weekly honors, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
Righi, selected as the Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, went 4-0 in Le Moyne's 2-0 week. He was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at second singles and a 6-1 winner at second doubles in a 7-0 win against Adelphi on Wednesday. He was then a 6-1, 6-4 winner at second singles and a 6-1 winner at second doubles in a 6-1 win over Southern New Hampshire on Friday.
Since joining the Dolphins for the second semester, Righi is 15-0 in singles action, including 11-0 at the second spot, and 17-1 in doubles play with Hatton.
Hatton, honored as the Rookie of the Week for the second time, went 4-0 in the 2-0 week. He was an 8-6 winner at fourth singles and a 6-1 winner at second doubles against Adelphi. He then was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at fourth singles and a 6-1 winner at second doubles against Southern New Hampshire.
Since joining the Dolphins for the second semester, Hatton is 14-2 in singles action, including 8-0 at the fourth spot, and 17-1 in doubles action with Righi.
Le Moyne (19-1, 7-0 NE10) opens defense of its NE10 Championship on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Skytop Tennis Courts with a semifinal matchup against Franklin Pierce University.
