Sam DiGeorge (Canastota, N.Y./Canastota) and junior left-handed pitcher
Max Parker (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) were both named to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA DII All-East Region Second Team.
Parker was previously placed on the
National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-Region Teams, and then earned a spot on the
D2CCA All-Region Second Team along with freshman left fielder/third baseman
Adam Sullivan (Syracuse, N.Y./Marcellus). Parker was also named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team after putting together a 2-1 record with a 1.28 WHIP and a league-best 1.55 earned run average in four conference starts (29.0 innings pitched). On the year, Parker tallied four victories, two complete games, one complete-game shutout and 59 strikeouts in a team-high 68.0 innings of work.
DiGeorge was named to the 2023 NE10 All-Conference Second Team with a 3-1 record and a 2.12 ERA through four conference starts (29.2), and he continued to lower his ERA during the postseason. DiGeorge finished the season with an NE10-best 1.52 earned run average and a 7-1 overall record. In 65.1 innings of work (seven starts, six relief appearances) during his senior campaign, DiGeorge tallied two complete games, one save, a 1.01 WHIP and a .223 opponent batting average with 40 strikeouts compared to just 12 walks.
The Dolphins advanced to the NCAA East Super Regional before falling to top-seeded Southern New Hampshire University. Le Moyne's 2023 squad recorded 34 wins, which is tied for the most victories by a Le Moyne team in the last decade. The Dolphins captured an NE10 Southwest Division regular season title as well as the program's first trip to a Super Regional by winning the NCAA Championship East Regional #2.
