Loretto, PA. - The Le Moyne College men's cross country team placed 1^st overall as the men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Red Flash Rally on Saturday.

Senior Jack Gibson (Ilion, N.Y./Central Valley Academy) set a personal record in the six-kilometer course, earning a time of 19:32.6 and placing 1^st overall to lead the way for the Dolphins. Senior Anita Jepchirchir (Eldoret, Kenya/The Kenya High School) led the way on the women's side as she finished the four-kilometer course in a time of 16:10.0, placing 6^th overall.

Le Moyne won the team competition on the men's side, as they finished with a team score of 39. Point Park placed 2^nd overall with a team score of 42, and Duquesne placed 3^rd overall with a team score of 42 points.

Gibson earned his second 1^st place finish of the 2024 season, the previous time was during opening meet of the year at the 2024 Frank Dillon Memorial. Sophomore Tyler Cooper (Sloatsburg, N.Y./Suffern) finished 15 seconds behind Jack to earn his second 2^nd place finish of the season, setting a personal record with a time of 19:47.8. Freshman Liam Rocks (Jersey City, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) also set a personal record, placing 5^th overall with a time of 19:53.4. Sophomore Mike Purvis (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) earned a 10^th place finish after setting a personal record with a time of 20:40.2. Freshman Carson Campbell (Lee Center, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) placed 23^rd overall with a time of 22:26.0, a personal record, to round out the scoring for the Dolphins.

On the women's side, Duquesne took the team competition as they finished with a team score of 29 points. Saint Francis finished 2nd overall with 46 points, as Point Park finished 3 points behind them with a team score of 49.

Jepchirchir led the way for the Dolphins, placing 6^th overall with a time of 16:10.0. Sophomore Mackenzie Ples (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville) finished 7 seconds behind Anita, placing 9^th overall with a time of 16:17.6. Sophomore Angelina Rodriguez (Greenfield Center, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) placed 24^th overall finishing the 4k in a time of 20:59.7. Freshman Caitlin Lamphier (Woodhull, N.Y./Jasper-Troupsburg) set a personal record in the 4k, running a time of 21:15.9 and placing 25^th overall to round out the scoring for the 'Phins.

The Red Flash Rally is the final meet of the 2024 Cross Country Season.
